'Star' Magnolia is a faster-growing selection of Magnolia and provides a brilliant display of white, star shaped flowers in Early Spring. 'Star' is of the hardiest selections of this flowering tree family and is an excellent choice as a specimen or ornamental planting. 'Star' Magnolia also offer pleasing fall foliage which turns from it's standard green to a copperish yellow-brown color.
Magnolias prefer full-sun conditions but can also thrive in part-sun to shade at times. Magnolias show some resistance to deer browsing. Magnolia stellata is one of the more deer-resistant varieties.
