PROTECTING OUR ECOSYSTEM

One of the most magnificent ecosystems that Long Island has to offer are our miles of natural sand dunes that straddle our coastlines. We at Bay Gardens take pride in our past experience in working to restore these beautiful dune systems and the natural vegetation that occurs throughout. We have completed dune restorations using rock-core, Geo-textile bag core or simple sand-dunes and revegetated with Ammophila breviligulata (Cape American Beach Grass).
